I am a photographer. This individual sent me a text message under the name Howard Lee, in need of a photographer for his 50th birthday. He was supposed to send me a check in the mail for the payment of $150, but he then texted me saying he accidentally sent me more money. And he said I was supposed to send the remaining money (overpayment) out of the $1,420 I received over an app named Zelle to the party planner. I received two identical checks in the mail and once I called the company that was on the check as it’s sender (Kenzley Title) I found out it was a scam.
