I purchased a HP printer, and went onto the site to get it set up. A tech called me to help me with setup. I allowed him to remote into my computer to assist. He couldn't get the printer to work. He tried to sell me a $359 firewall package that he said would fix the problem. Now, I am pretty computer savvy and know that this is utter horse trash. It's a driver problem, not a firewall problem. He became very insistent that I buy the product/service. When I asked if he could fix my printer, he told me not without the firewall package. So I hung up. I immediately got a call from another service tech trying to sell me the same thing. Now I'm getting very frustrated and I tell the supervisor this. He says, okay he can fix the problem for a one time fee of $90. Absolute scam. They need to have something happen to them here, because I'm sure that many people have fallen for this scam.
