Type of a scam Debt Collections
I called the number and spoke Jim (extension 103) with HR Capital Resources. He claims that I owe them money from an old Capital One credit card that was closed/written off in 2017. The law firm that the debt was sold to was Rozinski & Associates. Supposed original account#**** ***** **** **** (notice it has 1 too many numbers to be a credit card #) They threatened to take this to civil court and that my owed amount woyld then be triple this original owed amount.
I spoke with Capital One recovery department. She said I have never had any accounted closed and sent to collections. I currently have 2 accounts in good standing.
