I had a phone interview with a woman and received an employment offer about 24 hours after along with a background check form and a request to provide my a copy of my driver's license. After i returned the requeated information i received a request to complete a direct deposit form. I did not complete and return the direct deposit form.

The suspect reached out to me via email, stating that she received my information via Ziprecrutter regarding the Administrative Assistant (remote) position and posed the Company, "Allegion". The suspect even went as far as to hold a 20 minute phone interview with me and contact me back after the weekend with the employment offer letter and staged the entire setup as the HR Manager. Sent documentation with the company logo, and with the Logo on the Offer letter and Background information stating, in the upper right corner, " Commonwealth of Massachusetts" !

They reached out to me saying I had applied to a job listing they posted on Zip Recruiter, I had not. They told me they would send the job description to my email and then schedule an interview. I asked for more information about the company and asked for the Tax ID number so that I could verify their legitimacy and then they stopped responding.

He reached out say I had a job then wanted me to fill out her paperwork for a background check. All was legit until they needed my bank info to send me money to buy my own equipment.
