I then continued interacting with Jennifer Shafer ([email protected]) which resulted in me filling out the necessary paperwork to be employed (I-9, W-4, and Direct Deposit Sheet). It was more identifiable information than I care to admit to. Upon receiving that I was hooked up with a Kelli Cardamon who said she was Brand Director and Team Leader at Integer. This was also all through Microsoft Teams. She walked me through a cornucopia of information. Mentioned the equipment I would be ordering. Said that I would be forwarded a check to then make payments to their vendors for the equipment (because of COVID they determined this was the best option).
She told me what to order from Verizon (iPhone14 and iPad Pro) and to let her know what the cost was and that the company was going to reimburse me for the initial fee and monthly. I am going to be providing all of the conversations and emails in an uploaded file.
I have since locked down my identity and more. I've canceled the Verizon Order. I have asked the following from "Kelli:"
"What I think I need is more solid assurance that this is a legitimate job opportunity/offer. I would like to apply through the Integer website for the position.
If you can open the position on your site, I would be happy to go through the proper channels of applying since Integer reached out to me originally.
Again, I appreciate that you understand I cannot be too careful in this at this time. Because of that, and until I can have more solid assurance, I've cancelled the order I made yesterday with Verizon."
I have no received a response as of yet. This is quite concerning and confusing and I usually find myself on top of scams. Looking back there should have been a few red flags, but at the time nothing seemed out of the ordinary until I read the ScamPulse.com article on the job scam going around this year.
I have attached my email communications with Jen Shafer. I was unable to download the Teams conversation in a readable form, but I do have it in the event you would like it.
