I was contacted about a LinkedIn position I applied for and asked if I was still interested. From there, I filled out a job application and was offered the job. I had to sign an acceptance letter to continue. They then sent me a check for $5200 to buy the necessary equipment to do the job. I deposited the payment and paid a vendor via Venmo for the equipment. That was too good to be accurate, and I called the company directly. They do not have or offer anything of the sort. I immediately contacted my bank to stop any payments or withdrawals. Luckily, I did not provide any personal info to them, and my bank can stop any future payments/withdrawals.
