A recruiter on behalf of AeroTek Staffing contacted via email regarding an interview request. I was provided a link for a Teams Invite to proceed with the interview. The Interview was solely done via chat. No personal info was provided at that time.

A week later I followed up via the same Teams chat regarding the follow up and was offered the position as a payroll supervisor. I received an email with the offer documents and W2. Foolishly I filled them out and emailed them back.

Then I was told to open a checking account for business purposes to streamline the payroll efficiency. I was told to find a credit union that had back end capability for audit purposes.

At this point, I knew it was a scam and ended the chat
