Type of a scam Online Purchase
They're all on sale, prices marked down. The company claims to be based in Hong Kong, but contact us has a residential address in LA.
When you try to check out your item, it gives you a choice or Paypal or CC. Even if you press CC, it gets withdrawn through Paypal. I was notified from Paypal re. pending charge.
I realized that this is most likely a scam and tried to stop the pending payment both through my CC company and Paypal. However, they could not stop them. I was given a different email from Paypal through the seller, JUSTINWIMBERLY (email: [email protected]).
I emailed this person to deny the payment; gave the reference number and the amount, which was $59.99.
I thought I should report this. I did give my address for shipping and my credit card number to make the online purchase. And I'm thinking I should close my credit card.
