This company, Egis, sent me an email from a job listing stating that I met all the requirements for their company and would like to interview me for a work from home position for their company. That same day a lady by the name of Mrs. Esther Edwards reached out to me via Skype and conducted this interview via chat. She instructed me that this was a pharmaceutical company that was based out of Eastern Europe and was looking to branch out into the United States and Canada. She then told me that the company would be sending me a check to purchase the equipment needed for the job. She instructed me the check was going to arrive via FedEx and once the check arrived I was to deposit the check into my checking account, send them verification from the bank and then I would be given further instructions. They sent me two checks. The first one was in the amount of $4000. When I attempted to go to my bank Wells Fargo, they told me that they could not verify the check therefore they would not deposit the check. I informed Mrs. Edwards and "the company" sent me another check in the amount of $4200. I followed the same procedure as before. I then received a call from Wells Fargo informing me that the checks that I was attempting to deposit were counterfeit checks and that my bank account would be suspended and closed due to fraudulent activity. Once I informed "the company" of this, they stopped all contact with me. They were given my name *** *****. My address *** ****** ***** ***** Jackson, MS 39211. My phone number (601) ********, my social security number *********** and my checking account and routing numbers with Wells Fargo. My checking account number is **********. My routing number is 062203751. I am reporting this for my sake and hope that no one will have to go through this with this "company" again.
