My work/business email was targeted by this phising scam, and I have no idea how my address was leaked or provided to them. The email that was sent to me appeared in the spam folder, so I already was prepared to delete it, but the vagueness of the message confused me. It reads as follows:

" My Sincere Greetings,

I am Barrister Benjamin Gore, It`s Important you get back to me for the

details of this contact.

I wish to inform you of an exact replication of your name in one of my late

clients document which her bank notified me of.

Please respond here: [email protected] , for more details. It`s Very

Important.

Thank You.

FYI: I have in my possession the documents I received from the Management.

I will forward it for your perusal. "

I had never seen one written like this before, so I tried searching to see if others had encountered a scam like this. Upon finding nothing, I have decided to share it here so that others may be warned.
