1st email – sent by me
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the pricing and handling of my clothing items that I have entrusted to your company. Despite sending you 10 boxes of carefully curated clothing, including high-end designer pieces, I have been deeply disappointed by the lack of research and expertise that has resulted in grossly undervalued pricing.
Specifically, I am appalled that three Stella McCartney tops, each originally valued at nearly $500, have been sold for a mere $11, while the fourth remains listed at that same paltry price. An Alexander McQueen dress, which retailed for close to $2000 and is in pristine condition, has been misclassified as a robe and is currently being offered for $27.
This blatant disregard for the value of my clothing has led me to question whether your company even possesses the necessary knowledge to handle high-end fashion. The fact that you have only opened roughly 8 of my 10 boxes further exacerbates my concerns about the care and attention being given to my items.
As a former Poshmark seller, I had high hopes for your service, but the experience has been nothing short of a disaster. I have already left a negative review on Trustpilot to reflect my dissatisfaction, and I am prepared to remove it only upon satisfactory resolution.
Ultimately, I would like my clothing items returned to me, as I have lost confidence in your company's ability to handle them with the appropriate care and expertise. Your pricing algorithm is clearly flawed, and the individuals responsible for listing my items have demonstrated a complete lack of knowledge about the brands and value of the pieces I have sent.
Thank you,
Response from Koop
I've reviewed the case, and it seems there was a misunderstanding on how the pricing works for high-end items. Here's an extract of our terms and conditions :
For any item with value that exceeds $500, a purchase receipt must be included inside the package containing the item, for authentification purposes. If no purchase receipt is included in the package, those items will be listed based on our regular pricing.
I've checked again with the warehouse, and it seems no purchase receipt was included in your package, which is why higher end items were priced lower than they might have been, since we could not confirm if there was counterfeit or not. This is a protection that we've had to put in place to protect our buyers.
We would be happy to change the pricing upon the reception of any purchase receipt with the description of those items with a retail price above $500. We would also be happy to change/modify any pricing for items also based on aby purchase receipt. I see that some items were out of tags - in this case, unless there's a logo, we cannot change the brand and/or pricing of said items.
As you probably saw in our reviews, we have a really good relations with both buyers and sellers on our website, and we do not conduct relationships based on threat. We would be happy to continue working with you in achieving the common goal of getting you the best amount of money for your items, but we would ask you to remove your review as of today.
My response
Firstly, the pricing of $11 and $27 for certain items remains unjustified despite your explanation. Additionally, the listing of a Chloe sweater with an original price of $880 without a receipt raises concerns about the accuracy of the explanation. It is unclear how such an oversight occurred, and it would be helpful to provide an explanation? Moreover, the presence of counterfeit Lululemon products in the market and the pricing of leggings without tags at $40 suggest that your pricing may not be competitive or in line with market standards. Given these factors, it is understandable that I would like to know how to retrieve my items. As I have mentioned sending 10 boxes and believe that only 2 have been opened, it is reasonable for me to inquire about the status of my belongings and how you I retrieve them.
Koop Response
Items can only be returned when a Return Assurance was purchased, which was not the case for any of your Kits.
We do price our items based on the competitive pricing available on the market, and we've never had any issue by any of our seller regarding the pricing. It can never be perfect, but given that you've chosen to switch from Poshmark to us, it seems that Poshmark was never perfect for you neither.
If you feel that certain items must have a different pricing, you can feel free to send us over the pricing, and we would be happy to verify it over with our team. But again, no change will be done on your account based on your review.
My response
A fair resolution would be as follows. On February 13th the first clean out kit I did purchase the return option. I have the receipt for that if you would like. That would cover shipping one box back to me. The other 9 boxes I have sent while I did not purchase the return option I do have $50 sitting in my account with Koop. That will cover an additional 5 boxes to be returned. That leaves 4 boxes. I will pay an additional $40 to cover the cost of those boxes. It was not that I was unsatisfied with Poshmark, it was simply time. I performed research, proper pictures, and compared pricing. I think this is more then fair and would allow us to part ways amicably.
Koop Response
Unfortunately, we cannot had the Return Assurance once a Kit was purchased. I would suggest you read our Terms with attention for more information. Also, the items are being processed as we speak, so they won't be sent back. You can either send us a new pricing list, or leave it like that. Again, we would be happy to change the pricing with any receipt, and we will take into account your recommendations.
My takeaway.
I have purchased at least one return assurance kit. Please see receipt below. Which I am being denied access to. I am offering to essentially pay to have my items returned as I am that dissatisfied, and they will not budge. I understand there are terms and conditions. I take full responsibility for sending this company 10 boxes. It was blind faith. I should have sent 1 box to start and see how things went. But where is the customer service?
As an FYI since they are not prepared to budge. The majority of my clothing I do purchase on The Real Real. Often I wear things once or twice and think it’s time to rotate. So the Chloe sweater they have posted of mine, well that’s a rip off. I paid $140 on TRR for it. My Stella McCartney tops I paid $100-$150 on TRR, and there a steal on this website. Maybe I should use my earnings to buy them back?

TERRIBLE
This was in July. I noticed that they hardly listed any of my hundreds of items I sent and when they were listed the descriptions were sometimes incorrect. I sent a couple of emails asking them to fix the descriptions to make them correct. Ie. a leather jacket was described as acetate...stuff like that. The company fixed a couple of descriptions then got fed up with me I guess and wrote to me and said I should just sell my stuff elsewhere because I was too “hands on”I said ok please return my items as well as refund me for the 11 kits I bought and didn’t send yet. Also please deposit the payment for item sold. Not only are they not sending me back the hundreds of beautiful clothing items I sent, they are hassling me about the kit refund. Talking in circles and making me prove what I sent or didn’t send. They say they paid me out for my items but the final deposit has yet to be put into my paypalaccount.
They are super rude and confrontational. All interaction with them leaves me feeling very upset. I cannot probably ever get reimbursed for all the money I’ve wasted on them but at least I can warn others.
This is a very very unprofessional and seedy company.
Do not do business with them.
They are preying on innocent people.
Type of a scam Employment
I worked with them in November and there was red flags from the beginning.
They tried to get me to work with them without a contract and I insisted on a contract.
I posted the post they hired me for and sent an invoice.
I never heard anything.
3.5 weeks later I sent two emails which showed sent in my sent folder. (They claim they never received them) Then finally reached out to them on social media on the 24th. I was told I would be paid out on the 5th ( 10 days past the 30 day payout as per contract). Today (the 5th) I contacted them yet again and now they won’t pay me until the 10th.
They’ve been extremely rude and have never apologized once.
They’ve also purchased all their social media followers which is very easy to tell. (I’ve been in this business over 6 years) no one grows 35,000 followers in 6 months. No one.
This company is very unethical and I’d suggest sticking to ********.
I also contacted 6 other women they’ve worked with in the past few months and all but one haven’t been paid and have been ghosted.
RUN!!!
