On 3/28/20, I discovered a website, www.ibreus.com and found that they were having a "special sale" on a Breville Barista Express for $299.00. I placed an order and received an email from the company that my order was received and I would get shipping information within 2-5 days. The purchase was made using Paypal.
After not hearing from the company in almost two weeks, I attempted to call them via the phone number provided on their website, (571) 651-5986. The number was forwarded to a Google Voicemail account. I left several messages over the course of three days. I also attempted to contact the email on the company's website, [email protected] . The emails were returned as "Undeliverable".
I then checked my Paypal invoice and discovered that the $299 charge for the Breville was not billed to Ibreus, but to a company called Equipment Solutions. No information for the company was available except for an email address, [email protected] . The invoice showed that a UPS shipping number had been provided for the order.
I checked the UPS tracking app and saw that the item was listed as delivered on 4/1/20. I had never received this item. Additionally, the weight of the item on the UPS invoice was listed as 1.3 lbs, yet a Breville Barista Express weighs 23 lbs. I filed a missing package claim with UPS. UPS responded the following day, stating that the item was shipped from a Walmart in New Jersey and that the package was not delivered to my house because it was shipped to a house half a mile from me, under the name of the person who resided at that house. Basically, the tracking number that was provided was for a package that was not meant for me. How that tracking number was obtained, I am not sure.
I made several emails to that email address, and received no reply. I then contacted Paypal to dispute the transaction. Paypal made me provide them with the info I received from UPS, which I did. Paypal then reached out to the seller and was miraculously able to make contact with him. The seller updated the UPS tracking number on the invoice. I checked the tracking number, which showed the item was delivered on 4/15/20. Once again, I did not receive any items on the alleged date of delivery. Additionally, the weight of this package was 3.4 lbs, not the 23 lbs that the Breville weighs. I discovered from UPS that the item was shipped from a Shoe store in New Hampshire, and again not intended for me.
I reached out to Paypal for the second time, and Paypal finally closed the case in my favor and stated that I would be getting a refund. I want to warn anyone out there to stay away from this website and not order anything from them because it is a scam and you will have to fight tooth and nail to get your money back.
