IC Solutions is a contract company utilized by Howard County Correctional facility to allow the prisoners to pay and talk to family and friends while also love ones purchase minutes to upload on your account. First of all, #1. they practice unethical financial practices by requiring your date of birth to open an account; #2. in addition, you are required to give them all your bank card details including the security code on the back! #3 They charge various phone fees as well as service charges fees. Always seem to be different, it’s never the same price; always increasing. Bank card details along with security password is required to open an account. Which is obvious that names and DOBs along with other personal identifiable information database exists in order to produce scammers with this high commodity list! This tactic should be illegal and violates my family rights as she is a law abiding citizen whom wants to help out her love one who deserves to talk speak on the phone without getting scammed!! Most if the time, #4. The person talking in the other end could barely speak English; Accent was soo strong, I was forced to keep asking them to repeat that! #5 how are these companies able to abuse their stance by violating rights to require PII - Personal Identifiable Information. Please investigate this complaint because I’m sure a lot of people just forgot about it when their love ones exited the correctional system in Howard County. #6 $5 processing fee is charged EACH time you add money PLUS $11 out of town fee (DC vs MD) EACH time. Therefore $25 would cost you $41 EACH time!! Not even one time account fee BUT EACH time while they are collecting your bank card details, your security code, your date of birth, your address with the zip code, which is link to your bank card most of the time.
