I called and spoke to a man and asked him question regarding the RV. He said everything he knew about the RV was listed on the description with the pictures. It had been repoed by a financial Company (bank) located in Lexington, KY. That you could place a bid on it or do the "buy now" option. So I watched the unit for several days as it was auctioned online, but no one ever placed a bid, so they would repost the item and auction it again in 2-3 days. I was seeing several of the other items being bought so after a couple weeks, I signed up my husband to bid.
You had to send front, back of drivers license and face picture.
So I covered the important information and sent it.
The camper came up a couple days later and I bid one hundred dollars over the "current bid" which was $39,800.
I bid $39,900 and as soon as I bid, it came up on my screen, "Successfully placed...."
"No need to bid. Your bid is winning.!"
Then "Congratulations you won this auction!"
My husband received two emails...one saying that he bid and the other with congratulations and an invoice.
I looked up the location of the address in Nashville and I realized it was a new building just being leased, so I left a message for the people that are doing the leasing to please call me. A couple days later a gentleman called and I asked him if "icomprepos" was located in that building and he said no, so I told him what was going on and that they were using that address for their own. He said they are definitely not in this building. His name was Stewart Lyman, (615) 336-9055. He was with STREAM Realty.
I waited until 4:50pm EST on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024 to call the number on the web page, the same man answered and I told him I had placed the bid and won but never got further info. on the next step. He said, the woman in the office had left for the day and that she would email it to me the next day. So, Wed., 11/13/24, I got the email with the Invoice attached to it.
I googled the business name from the invoice. Thompsonsp Exports, LLC and found it was not legit and neither was the address. 1409 S. St. Paul St., Denver, CO, 80210, the address was an old, boarded up house.
On Thursday @ 10:16am, 11/15/24, I received a phone call and did not answer it. The number they used was (615) 266-6216,
I haven't heard from them since.
They do have my husband's name, his picture, our address and my phone number.
Thank you.
