I received a call from Secure Bank Card Monday June 26, 2023 at 11:16am asking for identity verification for a credit card processing application. I stated I was not opening any sort of credit line. They informed me that someone using the email address [email protected] applied for this as the sole proprietor of a business named, Joel Hagood Cleaning. Later in the day I received a package at my home address for a portable credit card scanner addressed to Joel Hagood Cleaning. After calling the company this device was sent from (SwipeSimple) they informed me the same email address was used to order this product. A quick google search for "Joel Hagood Cleaning" revealed a Yelp web page https://www.yelp.com/biz/joel-hagood-cleaning-brooklyn for a business located near my home address. The phone number on the package matched the phone number on the Yelp page however when trying to call the number no one answers. This is an identity theft business fraud.
