Ordered a wedding dress. It arrived but was not the right lace on the dress. They tried convincing me it was and that my size affected the look of the dress. Then that it was an “upgraded” lace. They finally agreed to fix it. The first dress was ready to wear despite the incorrect lace(it had cups covering the breast area. I received the dress back and while they did use the correct lace the dress was not ready to wear. The bodice was completely see thru and the boning in the top was poorly placed. Once on it created bumps above the breast due to this. I inquired as to why the dress was missing the cups that the first one had(and is shown on the product images of the dress I ordered). I was told that after feedback from plus size brides they’ve opted to remove them from plus size dresses. That was never mentioned and the emails from “Wendy” stated they would just fix the lace. The first dress I was able to zip completely, the second was smaller even tho I’ve lost 15lbs since trying on the first one. Their website when I ordered stated a reimbursement program for tailoring/alterations if ordering a standard size dress. They have removed that info from the website since. The description of my dress changed on the website as well. I paid $730 for this dress and alterations to make it wearable is costing me another $260. After every issue I pointed out I was offered $50 credit (this does not imply any sort of refund but that it’s a $50 credit to their shop). I initially declined as what am I going to use $50 at a dress/veil shop. It wasn’t until after I said I would be taking action against them that she clarified it was a refund. The reimbursement that was posted on their site for my dresses price point was $175. She has not denied that it was on their site. This business has a PO Box in Edgewater NJ. They claim to be a studio just across the Hudson River from New York. Their website gives an address in OH and shows a map pin in Australia. The phone number on the website is out of service. They are not registered in either state with bbb. It feels like they did sub par work because I argued for what I ordered and are trying to cover up any responsibility by changing their website.
