I received a friend request on Facebook messanger from a long time friend. Their Facebook picture appeared. I accepted the friend request. Then a hi greeting was received asking how we were. I responded. Then I was asked if I had heard their good news of receiving a grant from iFC through Gates Foundation. I said no I had not heard and they gave me a number to text and told to give my friend’s name. I got a response from the text asking only my name and if I would like to receive a pre application for the money grant that I did not need to return. When I questioned my friend via messanger about this offer the reply on messanger was that it was 100% safe and they had already received their grant. I terminated the text stream and blocked the number .
