Government Grant - I got a call saying I could get a government grant for $5,000 I just had to give them my debit card number for them to take the deposit. I did as instructed thinking this was legit and they took my money and I can’t get it back. I’m out $5000

they hacked my fathers account claiming that he received grant money and to text him my info. claimed to be attorney michael snow. i called and the person is using a text free number. i didn’t give any info.

Recieved a fb message from my pastor about a grant and a number to text. Text the number and they said I qualified. Gave name and address before i got suspicious.

This person has taken over someone’s Instagram account. They messaged me and asked if i would be interested in receiving a grant. I told them yes. But the catch was you had to pay a processing fee in order to receive the $30,000 or more. You had to pay the fee by using Steam cards from Walmart. No i did not fall for it. I just pretended like i was interested.

Someone hacked my friends Facebook, sent me normal message asking how I was doing. Then they started talking about seeing my name on a list for a grant through the IFC grant program and how they also won the grant. They proceeded to send me a name and a Facebook profile to request as a friend and message about this said “grant,” I followed through the message, they then asked for my phone number to continue the process, I agreed. Then they sent me texts asking for my name, address, gender, marital status, type of job I have, if I’m deaf or hearing, and my monthly income, followed by my Facebook email and password. Followed by asking me how much of a grant I wanted to “apply” for.

They ask you for 100$ to send to them and they will send you money but it was a scam I never got the Grant money nor a refund for the 100$ I wasted
