Impact Distribution Reports & Reviews (9)

Received a post card saying that I needed to call this number for a package delivery.

- Riverside, CA, USA

Mail said I had a package to be delivered when I called the number and gave her my reference number she refused to give any information. She kept insisting that I say YES this is and state my name.

- Brighton, CO, USA

I received a postcard in the mail saying I have a missed package. The card had a phone number but no other information. I called and got a recording saying I reached “Impact Distribution”. I found information about the same scam taking place in other states. The company supposedly will try to sell you water softening equipment.

Package shipment slip was left at our house with my husband’s name on it. We called the number from my phone and hung up before speaking with someone because we had a feeling it was not legitimate. They have called us back twice so far and left a voicemail saying they believe they have a package for me (they used my name) not my husbands like they had originally put on the shipment notice.

I received an orange package shipment notice in my mailbox yesterday. It was addressed to me with a final notice service attempt (never received any notices prior to this) stating they were attempting to deliver. It included a local number to call with a reference RIC# to reference. There was no company name. And while it was addressed to me, with a mailing stamp on it, it didnt have the standard ink stamp from the postal office. So it was like it was just dropped in my mailbox by someone. It looked like scam to me based on the minimal information included and the fact that UPS/FedEx notices dont look like this. I also haven't ordered anything recently so I wasn't expecting any deliveries. Rather than call from my personal number, I called from my work line (so if it was a scam, they didn't end up with my cell phone number to keep calling me). A recording said "thank you for calling Impact Distribution, your call will be answered by the next representative." I waited for a few minutes while on hold to music for someone to answer but no one ever did so I just hung up. After Googling this notice I've seen multiple articles across the US that this is a scam, with images that looked identical to my notice, and to not contact that "company" or call the number.

- Buffalo, NY, USA

Received mail saying package was waiting for me. After calling the number, I was told I had free water testing waiting for me.

The scam involved telling my spouse she had a package that was past due and she had to call their offices ASAP to have her package delivered. There was no return address and the barcode on the back was fake (it was actually for Mead brand envelopes). When you call the number on the postcard, you are placed on a hold for "Impact Distributions".

- Englewood, CO, USA

A final notice for a package came in the mail. It is presorted first-class mail with no return address or business name on the bright colored card. Just a “package number” beginning with the letters RIC. Goes on to say “This office is attempting to reach you Please contact us immediately to arrange a delivery time.

There is no package. If you call the phone number provided, they will call themselves impact distribution. I hung up and googled the name impact distribution. Scam warnings do pop up. The next morning they actual called me back. Letting me know that they saw my missed call. They will immediately start asking you information that they already have. Like address/phone number. If you just called me.... why would you like me to confirm a phone number? I provided no information, and ended the call.

Wish the post office could verify more presorted mail and eliminate more scams moving through our shipping industries.

- Columbia, SC, USA

By postal mail, received a pink postcard stating a package shipment was attempted, this is the final notice, and I should contact the office immediately to arrange a delivery time, with a reference to a RIC# on the front of the card. There is no business name given nor anything for a legit delivery service such as UPS or FedEx. I called the number from my office phone and "Impact Distribution" answered, a friendly female voice. I told her I just wanted to know what company to report, and she stated this is definitely not a scam. I'm pretty convinced it is.
