"Lynn Walker" contacted me via email on May 13th. I sell Younique makeup so I assumed she got my email from my business page. Person claimed to be deaf and wanted to place a surprise order for her daughter who is getting married. She said in her email she doesn't use cards and wanted to send cashiers/bank certified check and then wanted me to place order. I calculated the amount of the order and sent her back a screen shot of the order/total which came to $234. I did not place the order; only sent the screen shot.

On Tuesday, June 22 I received a priority mail package with a check for $1,534 in it and that is all that was envelope. The check was made out to me and in the memo line it just says "Approved." The check is from Impact Property Management Solutions, LLC and the envelope return address is from George and the signature line said Jonathan Stevens. My spouse and I were trying to figure out what the check was for and I put it to the side since we were unsure. Then, on Thursday, June 24th, I got another priority mail package with another check for $1,534.

On Friday, June 25th, at 9:43 am I received a text from a 478-227-0513 number. It reads "Hello, ****, how are you doing? You should have received the payment in the mail by now. Kindly confirm with me. Crystal"

So I replied back Personal check (thinking it could be from someone renting our condo).

They replied back "The check is from Impact Property Management Solutions LLC and there's a little mistake on the payment,"

So I replied, so that solved the mystery. I did receive a check but didn't know who it was for since there isn't a note or anything with it and then I got another check too.

So she replies, :Oh gosh, do you still have the checks? I was sending you an email when I got your text. Can you check your email and get back with me?"

The email I have attached so you can see the dialogue. She texts saying to please deposit the check and even goes as far as to encourage me to mobile deposit or use the nearest ATM to save me the stress of going to the bank...just a suggestion...this sends warning bells plus her original text was signed Crystal but email id is Lynn Walker.

I even text her I am confused and said I thought your name was Lynn, to which she said yes, I am Lynn and tries to say her phone autocorrect messed up her name and that her email ended with Lynn and I should know that was a mistake.

When I didn't reply she asked if I am there and I replied I am at work. So they she says let me know when you are off.

So Friday comes along and she texts me again wanting to know if I deposited the check. So I text back saying she was getting too pushy for my comfort for a makeup order. Then she tried to act like she was sorry, just wanted to hear from me. I didn't reply.

Then Sunday I got another text asking me why have I been silent. I text her back and stated I had sent her a text about being pushy and that I was out.

She text saying she didn't mean to be pushy. then I just got another text today asking how I am doing. I want to block the number, but I don't want to do it before I report this situation. I am not engaging with them anymore and hopefully I won't get any more texts, but I feel like I will.

Am sure you will understand the pressure that comes with organising such a big and important event, i received a notification confirming that payment sent for my Younique order will be delivered anytime from now. I was trying to email my client and I got a note in my email. The payment made to you by a client of mine whom I instructed to take care of the payment made the mistake of issuing the entire amount for my daughter's wedding planner and your items on the Payment and sent to you instead of the exact item amount, I'm sorry for the wrong amount on payment.

I was told she just got a new secretary, The instruction given to her was to make a separate payment to two different customers and she issued the whole amount ($1534.00) on your name instead of ($234.00) I'm so mad right now and I do not know what I need to do because the other amount was meant for my daughter's wedding event planner and that is the more reason why I purchased this product as part of the gift for her wedding, I know you are honest and God fearing.

I actually wanted her to send the remainder of the balance to my daughter's event planner to take care of the wedding logistics and preparation. Please consider this a favor that I want you to do for me, I sensed you have integrity to maintain, deposit the check into your account or through mobile deposit for electronic verification and as soon as the money reflect in your account, you can proceed with my order and send back the difference in cash to the event planner, deduct the amount for the items and help me send the remaining balance to my daughter's event planner, thanks for your understanding and I pray God almighty will grant you your heart desires as you do this favour for the actualisation of my Daughter's dream. I will contact the event planner right away to see which way is easier to get the rest of the fund over, am so sorry for the inconvenience, and hope to hear from you ASAP.
