I was called by a company ‘Imperium Lending’ after a hard credit pull for mortgage shopping released my credit activity to other lenders. ‘Chip Utica’ called me using an NMLS broker verification for Christian Utica and when I asked for their rates/closing costs he asked me to confirm that the credit report he was sold was accurate with the loan amounts, who they were with, asked me to confirm the last 4 digits of my SSN and then asked for the first 3 digits of my SSN. Their website has an ‘online application’ section to input all your confidential info which I was sent an email link to do, NMLS to match real licensed individuals with pictures, but their website phone number is disconnected, and all communication comes via texting or call on the same number claiming to be the VP jumping on the line or CEO. ‘Four people’ introduced themselves on the same text number with different sales angles. Phone number used: 248-509-9584. Pressure sales techniques to get you to sign a ‘locked in’ incredible rate and import your personal info to close.
