Initially received a text message that I immediately reported as junk. Then received a phone call from (805) 600-9151 concerning a potentially fraudulent wire transfer for $7,000 to the person that was listed in the initial text message. The individual I spoke to did not request any account or routing information for any bank accounts. I was then transferred to their "wire" department. When the narrative did not match between the two people, I started to question the story and stated that I was having connection issues and I would call Bank of America to continue the complaint. At this point, the caller ended the call. Bank of America confirmed that there was no contact initiated by them, and that this was an attempted fraudulent phone call.
