Recvd phone call offering 2 yrs reduced DirecTV that includes Premium channels, 1 yr NFL Ticket and a $100 Visa Gift card if prepay 4 months service using a store-purchased Amazon $250 gift card, then $62.50/mo for next 20 months or can cancel anytime as this is a promo, not a contract extension.

Fooled me, as caller ID showed the real DirecTV 1-800-531-5000 phone number.

And the logic behind use of Amazon gift card was that "Amazon is the sponsor for this DirecTV program and wanted to promote their gift cards"
