I was contacted by an individual falsely representing Avis Budget Group about open positions for their "company". I was instructed to reach out to an individual named Kyle Keane in which they conducted a fake text interview over Google Hangouts. After being told more about the various job positions, I was provided a very vague description of my position and false information of when I will be able to get started at the local office that will be coming soon. They then asked for my name, address, phone number and email to get started. I was mailed a fake check, which thankfully I did not deposit into my personal banking account, for "office equipment" that would have required me to perform the job. I was also sent a fake employment acceptance letter, in which they asked in which they asked me to sign and provide two references and a photo of my driver's license. This is when I began to catch onto the scam and thankfully did not provide anymore information.
