My fiance applied for a software developer job on Ziprecruiter for a company called Perficient (St. louis). We did a search and the company is real and the people contacting were using names of real employees. It requested a video interview which he gave a time frame he was available. They said since that time didn't work they would email questions to which he needed to respond within 60 minutes (no personal information aside from name and email address). The person said they would send it to the board for review and within the hour he was sent an offer letter with a slightly less hourly pay, but still unusually high for his experience. They would also send him a check for a home office and remote work-from-home equipment which again seemed too good to be true. we had a few hours of celebration about this lifechanging news before we got suspicious. The emails listed on the real Perficient website were all @perficent and not the @gmail he received.
