"Berlin Ferguson" texted me about a remote job opportunity for "Bosworth Hospitality Group" (which is a real company, this guy just didn't work for it). Conducted interview over Zoom chat. Told me to print out a check for $4500 that he emailed me, deposit it (for remote computer equipment I would need for the job). Then the next day he wanted me to venmo him the $4500 because the company "wanted to change computer suppliers" and he would need to purchase the equipment for me himself. I told him I never deposited the check because I'm not an [censored]. Oh - and the check wasn't even from Bosworth. It was from "Dave's Specialty Imports" in Miami Florida. I've attached the check with my info blurred out.
