Curious, I called back to the number 877-224-9686. A male voice answered with, "Social security office." I said, "I'm sorry, can you repeat that?" The man again said, "Social security office." I told the person that I had just received a call from this number. He then asked for my name and telephone number. When I said, "Before I give that information, how can you assure me that this is the Social security office?" the man responded with, "Damn bitch, how many times do I have to tell you the Social security office?" and hung up.
Clearly, both of these numbers are connected to a phishing scam, presumably from how the phone was answered...my social security number.
