Type of a scam Employment
I became suspicious after that, and after searching around I couldn't find them or any job posting for the company on Linkedin. When asked about it, the scammer could not give any proof of connection to the company, nor could they provide a job posting. Eventually I found a response the real company made on Twitter confirming someone else had received the same scam email. I never got to any point where they sent me a fake check, but I did end up giving them my name, phone number, street address, email, and the name of my bank.
The scammer used the email address [email protected] to get a hold of me, and had me send my personal information to [email protected]
