I applied for a data entry clerk position on indeed (I live in Calgary). A few days later I received an email saying the position had been filled but they had an opening for a cash handling assistant working with crypto currency and sent me a link. They offered $21/hr and big bonuses. After filling out the info on the link (very basic info) I received another email from a different person saying I’ve been offered a probation period position. This raised some red flags. The company is listed as a corporation on the government of Canada website but the offer is way too good to be true. They have a website but it really doesn’t make much sense, poor grammar, random services and products offered, and after looking up the domain name, the website was created in May of this year and they claim to have been around since 2001. Seems shady to me. They sent me a “contract” and on the contract, it asked for my credit card number. Like seriously?
