I am a current job seeker. Got a text thru indeed that I was a great fit for a certain position, name and number was left to call. When I called it was a number for a temp service... The employee stated that this is a way that these company's do to drumb up members. This to me is trickery, deceit, false information and I can think of words but I will not speak those words. Very disappointing for this to happen and discouraging to use they types of apps and than no one to talk to about this issue...

My daughter filled out a job application for Chick Fila through the Indeed app and Donna Fisher Mgr reached out to her for a job interview. They initially did a phone interview and then she asked to come in for a face to face interview. She texted the information and my daughter confirmed. Moments later (approximately 2 hours later), two guys sent her a text message that resembled Donna's message. So, I went to their interview instead of going to hers. The interview was in a plaza with houses according to my daughter. She rang the doorbell with a camera and there was a plaque that said, "If nobody answers, call a particular phone number." She waited approximately ten minutes for the man to answer the door. So she messaged her friend Remy that she wanted to leave because the place seemed weird. As she was about to leave, she heard voices and a man opened the door. He asked if she was the one interviewing for Chick Fila and escorted her to his office space. His name tag said Mike Ludwig. He interviewed her in a passive aggressive way. After the interview was complete, he asked her to come back and fill out the paperwork. She went back the next day at 10 a.m. This time he answered the door immediately. She was told to wait in his office, and he went into a conference room to talk to a group of guys. He came back and had her sign paperwork electronically through her phone. The url was through Higher Me. The paperwork asked for her social security, birthday, address, id and availability. While she was signing the paperwork another man walked in which she found out was the actual Mike Ludwig because she later went and looked them up on Facebook and found that the other guy was actually him. The interviewer then told her that he would email her the boarding information, but he never did. Donna never got back to her either.

I along with another friend have been applying on Indeed and are getting non-legit texts and phone calls. I called a local company a couple weeks ago and they said they had been hacked and it was not legit and said they reported it to Indeed. My friend reported it to them and they say nothing. I filed a complaint w/ a screen shot to them and decided it's time to report this to the BBB. There are hackers that have our resume information and it is scaring us. Indeed needs to be checked on and so does their means and level of safety and use via their site. It makes me nervous to apply to any jobs on their and I need to daily! My goodness. What are others going through and where is their information landing? There are no jobs in Wichita from Niktor. Please help and thank you for being there!

I’ve been applying to a bunch of jobs on Indeed.com and it seems they’re just playing host to a bunch of scammers!! Something should be done about how this website allows fake job offers to post constant fake ads to steal any individuals info easily because he/she is looking for work. Ridiculous

While Job Searching on the platform "Indeed," I applied by providing my resume and cover letter for a position posted for "ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT at BERGEN TECHNICAL SCHOOL" in Paramus, NJ. Days later I received a phone text directing me to an interview process via Skype. I contacted my local PD after receipt of these communications and the ScamPulse.com by phone, directing me here to report. Additionally, I phoned Bergen Technical Schools. They got my information from Indeed and contacted me through email and Google Hangouts. They did fake job interviews and sent bad checks to me claiming it was was for work supplies. Indeed should do better all applications and resume information should be set to private and only can be seen to where you apply. I was robbed out of $3900. These people claimed to be with United Health Group. The email they used was [email protected] and [email protected] The money they had me transfer was to a Chase Bank Account

I was offered a position at Indeed.com as a staffing coordinator, the person stated it would pay $700 a week for the first 3 weeks while training and $1250 a week afterwards to be paid weekly. They stated I would be supplied a laptop and all the supplies. They provided me with a job description and questions and answer questionnaire at first, then a job application to be filled and a 35 question interview questionnaire to be completed via email, afterwards, I had to fill out the bank information for my direct deposit as well as sign a contract, after completing these documents, they stated that I had the job and they would deposit $850 to my account and then contact me to provide me information as to who I needed to contact to send the money to so that they can ship me the laptop and my supplies , they also sent me a link to do my fingerprinting and explained it was for access to the laptop so I can conduct my business. They stated this would be home based job with going to the office at least 3 to 4 weeks. The email used was not a company email as I noticed after the fact. The job was to be done via Career Builder which is one of Indeeds competitors.
