I was hired to be a commercial pastry chef to show my knowledge and skills with35years experience. I came in , after at 5 am to show how a typical day would go. After 4 days they said they learned everything ( since they are not bakers) and let me go. It's been devastating to my mindset that I'm being used and discarded after applying for a job that the owners had no baking experience. I took my cat to the groomers thinking I had a nearly full time job and was grateful. But they used me, as they use others to get ahead. I am 56 years old, I just want to bake until my golden years and not be tricked or part of a scam.
