I have a legitimate Wisconsin Business in good standing. I produce business publications. I hired a Burbank CA company to collect my royalties totalng $5449 from the bookstores that have purchased the book (from various outlets, Amazon, Barnes and Noble etc.). 1. I paid $599 as a collection fee. They sent me on line copies of THEIR checks to me, but have not sent the money - promised 4 weeks ago. 2. They are refusing to send their IRS required filings, EIN, BOI, W9, or any information I need to pay tax on this money. 3. Now they are requesting another $499 before they will send any money. 4. I traced their Burbank address to South Africa. Where do I start with this?
