But something is not adding up here. small things by themselves are not suspicious but collectively they are.
The job opportunity is in central time zone. The staffing agency InfoJini is on the east coast. Not a big deal but I spoke to one person through LinkedIn who said someone would call me about the job.
The Linkedin person is supposedly in MA. The person on the phone is supposedly in NJ (both people I talked to on the phone). The only thing the person really said about the job requirements is that there needs to be 2 years of experience. I have 5 years. The communication was terrible because everyone that I've talked to is foreign. Again not a big deal until you look at everything as a whole. It looks like a scam!
The second person I talked to said she's going to send me an email and call me right back. I was confused. But said ok. It took at least 45 mins to call me back. She texts me first asking for my full address. That sounded fishy to me right away. I was trying to figure out a near by place to tell her because I was not about to give out my address, when she calls me.
she tells me that I didn't reply to the email. I said, "I replied right away. As soon as you sent it I replied". She was convinced and arguing that I didn't reply until I called her out and said that I need more info on the job. The job she sent in email looks legit. It is for a health care provided. They provided enough info for me to not question talking to them until it got weird.
She fumbled around until she finally said, "your email is ****@msn.com". I said, "no that is not my email".
She said she got confused. She thought she was talking to someone else about an another job (and another position). Not the job they were talking to me about. And then she said she did receive my email and was going to have her supervisor reach out to me about the position. (Not the client)
So that is a third person that I have to talk to about this position instead of setting up an interview.
After I hung up with her, I ended up telling her via text that I won’t share my full address without an in person interview but here is the address to the Mall nearby.
The 3rd person calls. I miss the call. Call her back around 10 minutes later. I said someone called me about an open position. I name the position. She said something. I could quite understand. So I didn't say anything. I waited for her to say something. She says "Hello". I said, "Hello, can you hear me"? And then she says, " can I call you back in about 10 minutes"? I said, "yes, that's fine".
She did not call me back. I got an email from them this morning saying that the 3rd person tried calling unsuccessful and to let them know when I was available. I did speak with her for a brief moment when she said she would call back and didn't.
I told them I didn't want to work with them and to take me off their list. An hour later I get another email from someone else about a different opportunity.
It sounds like a scam where they are using job opportunities to collect info and/or get you to say certain things to agree to something.
