August 16 2024 I was on the app TikTok and saw a video about a treadmill for 40 dollars 90 cents. I purchased it with my cash app card. Weeks went by and nothing. I tried to email but the email didn’t exist. That’s when I realized I was scammed. He used the company Deer Run’s logo to scam me. I contacted Deer Run to let them know so they can start an investigation. His name (via cash app) is Luis Esparz. I tried to dispute it with cash app but they denied my claim. After I explained what happened they reopened my dispute and it’s still under review. No word from them as of now. This all could have been avoided if TikTok thoroughly investigated the different businesses to keep people from getting scammed.
