I received a call from a recruiter from infotree global. they stated that they are a talent acquisition company with a possibly job position for me at a General Motors plant in my city. Seemed a little fishy at first because the person was indian and I could barely understand him. But I kept along careful not to give out too much info. He then tried to ask how much i currently make which i did not give up. He tried to push for that info heavily but realized i wasn't going to give him an answer on that. He said ok ill send you a document to sign and once that's signed i will have the permission to send your info to GM. I get the email and open the document and its asking for my social security number. dead give away. I emailed back saying i was deff not giving out that information. He expressed that GM needs that before they send them the info, that GM requests that step. I then found a page on GM's website saying they will never ask for that information. I sent that dude the link to the page on GM;s website and said they would be reported to the BBB.
