Inland Empire Ind Sup Inc. Reports & Reviews (3)

They lead me to believe I was going to be receiving free tools, and then they send me an invoice. And I paid no mind. So I get a phone call a few days later and it's inland empire industrial supply claiming I owe them 500 dollar or they gonna charge late fees and if I don't pay will send me to collections. I gladly offered to return the products back and they said they don't accept after 30 days. This is a bait and switch tactic and it seems they have screwed over tons folks.

Salesman calls to establish relationship with business and offers some samples of what they have. Afterward pitches a sale, and if agreed to purchase said product, tells me someone from billing will call to confirm before shipment. Next day a lady calls to confirm order, and gives total with a net 30 payment. When package arrives, the invoice does not list out any prices for the free samples or the purchased items, but has a “package total” instead. I called to return the items after doing some research the average of cost for the agreed to pay for items and finding they were too overpriced. Customer service says I must return the whole package or pay whole invoiced amount and that both the salesman and billing department are supposed to make it clear that it is a package deal. I am now responsible for freight charges to return package. If not returned before 30 days buyer is responsible for 30% restocking fee. Cannot return without prior approval.

I received a phone call on my cell phone from a company called "Inland Empire Industrial Tool and Supply". The salesman said they were reaching out to businesses to try to gain more business in a competitive tool supply market. I did not provide him with any of my contact or credit card information. He already had my name, company name, and address, and asked if I would be interested in some free promotional items and free samples of various tools and supplies. I agreed and even expressed my concern whether this was a scam. He said they were also offering a 30 day free trial of a quality, American made, drill bit set, where I could test them out and return them if I was not satisfied. He said all I would have to do is call them to arrange for the return and they would provide a return shipping label. He valued the drill bit set at $489. The drill bits I received were cheaply made, imported, and similar quality could be purchased elsewhere for under $50. When I received the package in the mail with an invoice due in 30 days, I called to schedule the return. The company refused to provide a return shipping label. This was not the agreement. The shipping cost to return the drill bits would be more than their worth. They then told me to call another office, and the number they gave me was to a different tool company that has been permanently closed. This company is running a scam where they send free trial items and make it very difficult or impossible to return them, and then they claim that you have an open account balance. Beware of this company and their scam
