I was interested in signing up for TSA Pre Check and I Googled TSA Pre Check and clicked on one of the top links that appeared on google. Without really realizing I wasn't on the Official TSA Website I filled out the information and paid $140 for both me and my partner for when we travel. After talking with my sister about it and her price I got suspicious and started looking into it more. The email I received after I submitted everything had misspellings and it said "Not not call your credit card company or bank, if you want to cancel transaction reply to the email" Reply was misspelled and then I googled and found out it was a scam. I'm going to file a dispute with my credit card company, lesson learned only go to a .gov site. UGH!!

I was intending to obtain TSA Pre-check. Numerous websites appeared under my search and I quickly glanced to see which had a ".gov" address and selected one. However, in my haste I had selected a scam website that ended in "gov.com" and had mistaken that for the official ".gov". I entered my info and was charged $140 for "enrolling" in TSA precheck. The website even directed me to make an appointment online with a local office to be fingerprinted. When I went to the appointment, which turned out to be a legitimate center for getting tsa precheck, I was charged $85 and realized my mistake.
