They hacked my cousins account on facebook, i started getting messages from her telling me about this Federal Government Grant. It's the 2021 International Development Association (IDA) Individual Program. I got messages from my cousin on facebook messenger, giving me this number to apply 1-661-381-6338.The name is Debbie Epperly. After they say you can get it then they want you to send them money.. When i told them i had checked with Better Business Bureau and it said it was a scam, my cousin told me no because she had got her money today, and she got $50,000 cash. I called her and she was out with her grandkids, they had hacked her account. I told them i didn't have any money, they said they would take $350 and they would take care of the other $100. Even after i told them i was reporting this. I gave my name and number and that was all. They were sending messages to my phone and talking to me on facebook messenger at the same time. When i was looking at comments on Facebook, they were trying to get people to respond to them on there.

Wow i pay more than $3000 and I really regret it and he still taxing me he wants me to Pay $450 So I could receive my 18,900
and 13,800 I told him no thanks and he is still texting me please this is your last feet no thank you

I was texted by an old friend i though. They told me about the IDA program. Said that if I qualify I could get a grant. That it helped him get back on his feet and kept him afloat while he was out of work. That the funds were delivered to him in 10 days . That it was a friend he k own from church. I knew my friend as a church going individual. So I trusted him. I was the one who reached out to him to catch up on old times. That's when he told me how he had managed to get through this past year. That he was grateful that he made the choice to talk to his friend who got him in touch with the attorney in question.

Beware!!!!!!if you are contacted about a covid relief grant you dont have to pay back. They send u a message from someone u don't normally message on facebook. In my case, they used my best friends mom. And when I clicked on her profile she had no post no followers and the page was new. I contacted her and of course she had no ideal and had not received 50,000 from anyone. Please Do not give any of your info in a text or email over the phone at all. The IDA helps struggling countries not individuals. This is a SCAM. Always check with that contact don't be a victim.

Well, another sucker joins the ranks. They used a cousin's Facebook account and acted like they were my cousin. Asked if I heard about the IDA Grant and that she applied and received money already. Then a few mins later, said that she went through a Lawyer named Steven Ralfe. 1 (614) 681-3734 is the phone number I was given. She game me the phone number and had me text him, so I did, then had to wait a little white before I was text back. I figured it out but was after I already had given them my name and address. Hopefully I will be ok.
I feel so stupid about this, but then again my cousin's account they used, is somebody that I really trust. So, I really didn't think twice about doing what she told me. After I began to think this was a scam, I used a question that I and her would know the answer too, to see if she would give me the right answer. But sure enough, they got it wrong and tried to push me more into talking to the person on my phone.

Through Facebook, my friend, who I play cards, with messaged to ask if I had heard the news and I could get up to $160,000, from IDA International Development Association. She said if I wanted she could have the representative contact me. A rep from IDA texted me with a claim number, serial number, and her badge number. She asked for my full name, address, whether I am buying or renting, and whether I have credit cards. She texted she had found me in a data base and wanted to know if I wanted cash or check, and what I would use it for. I told her I had company, and I would text her later. She replied OK, and I haven't been contacted since.

I was sent a message on Instagram by someone I had not spoken to in a while. They said they received $50K and would give me the name of the agent who would help me. His name was David Andrews and his # is 4066627566. The person who contacted me would not give me their name when I asked who I should say gave me the reference. I texted and David responded, telling me the grant would not have to be paid back, etc., then asked for personal information. By this time, I had reached this page of scam reports so I did not respond.

i just realized ive been scammed but they kept saying no... i was so preoccupied all day and now i got this in middle of this. i asked this person to destroy my information.. now im scared because i gave so much info! how can i prevent this to happen to my $$ etc.?

The Instagram account of a friend of mine was hacked and the hacker sent me a DM inviting me to learn about the IDA Grant Program. He told me he had been given a grant of $80,000 and a friend of his had received $100,000 merely by submitting a simple application. He gave me the above phone # to text and suggested I text "Agent-Jeff Sayler" right away to insure he had the right #. Sayler promptly responded with the attached txt.

I received a message from a friend on Instagram asking have I seen the news talking about 2020 IDA Individual program for those who need assistance with bills, going to school, etc. They stated that they received $50,000 and that it is not a loan and you dont have to pay it back. Said I should apply. Told me to contact a Sarah Miller by text at this number +1302-207-0247. I replied back and said that I was denied. They then asked to see my screenshot of the conversation. I replied asking how they could help me. That was the end of the conversation. I reported it on Instagram as well.

Hacked a friends IG account and pretendind to be them and that they received so much money regarding the grant. Then message be a link to the agent and the agent has harassed me for days wanting me to send him money.

I was contacted through instagram by a lady who followed me. I thought she was another business owner but she doesn't have anything posted on her profile. At first I was skeptical of it but I looked it up to see if it was a website to go to. She told me to text IDA to a number she gave me. She convinced me that it was okay and that she would walk me through the steps. She told me to contact this agent and I did and he texted me this morning and he asked how did you get my private number, so I told him. She kept wanting to know everything that was happening and she wanted screenshots of everything and keep her posted. Well it got down to the part where he was like there is a delivery fee you have to pay but you pick the one you want. The first one on the list said you pay $1,000 and you receive $50,000.00 so i went to ask my dad about it and he said that it sounds like a scam. So that's when I got on online and looked it up and I found this page. Im glad I looked here before I continued but the thing is I don't know how to reply back to them or what to say. What do I do?

Thankfully read the posts here...like someone else reported, I was direct messaged via instagram by a facebook friend. I had not expected to see this person who I knew from school in my instagram. Anyway without any preamble "he" asked if I had heard his good news. Of course I hadn't. Then tells me he received a 250k IDA grant. I had to look this up and then offered my congratulations. He then explained that it financially helps average people with various, mostly common, struggles. He said he thinks I should apply too. So now I'm waiting to see the scam contact instructions.

Someone hacked into my Bishop's wife's instagram account. As she followed me, I followed her back and received this message that she was doing very well and extremely happy for her life right now. Then she asked me if I had heard about the International Development Association (IDA) grant.
After I asked for her to tell me more, she told me what it was based on. She said it based on helping people who need help to pay bills, debts, mortgage, buy or repair home, pay Student loans, disabilities and to develop more opportunities for the Community...and then asked me...are you aware?

Then in another text said This IDA program I was granted $50,000 and you don't have to pay it back. Should l give you the agent hotline # so you can sign up as well?
Before I could respond, the person sent me the agent hotline # (412)470-6018 to send a short code "IDA" to as a text.
This was familiar to me as earlier in the year I received another instagram from another friend whose instagram account was hacked who told me about another grant she had gotten approved for that was for $150,000 and all she had to do was to pay $3,000. When I contacted the friend, I found out that she hadn't sent the instagram to me. So I am reporting this as a scam. I doubt that my Bishop's wife would be sending anything like this to me, let alone, needing to use it herself.

I received a message on Instagram from someone I hadn’t spoken to in a long time. He chatted then asked if I knew about IDA I told him no. He said he and his friend received government grant money to help during COVID. He sent me a number to text to apply. I believed because the information came from someone I knew which turns out to be scammers. I’m not sure what they’re using my personal information for. After I filled out application including my drivers license. I don’t know what I should do now. It just happened to me.

An Attorney name Thornton Barbara Ann helps you qualify for funds given through the International Development Association. She ask for your information to fill out the application to see if you qualify. Once you find out if you qualify she then tells you for how much and that in order to receive the funds you have to pay the delivery fee either through cash app or by going to the store and purchasing an Amazon card or Sephora and loading the money on those cards then sending the information to her. All this is done through text message (254)876-0776.

I contacted a number forwarded from an associate regarding receiving a grant from the International Development Association. The following morning I received a text from someone claiming to be Agent Jeff Sayler, the administrator in charge of the ongoing International Development Association grant program. "Agent Jeff Sayler" then texted me an application form that asked for personal and financial information. I sent a text asking if I may receive an application by email, but received no answer. I then called the telephone number provided and heard a tone then was disconnected. Following this I went to the International Development Association's website to look up any grant information, and to look up "Agent Jeff Sayler". The Association's website didn't have the information about a grant and there is no information about the agent either. I then googled Jeff Sayler International Development Association and found a ScamPulse.com warning about this exact scam but with a different agency name.

I recieved this information through messenger on face book from a person who I thought was a family member. Believing it was true I sent my information to them and later find out that I had been scammed. The sent me a list of how much grant money is available to me then a list of how much I would have to pay them for a filing fee
