I received a voicemail from a company called IPS--International Processing Solutions 844-279-7423 stating "this message is solely for M...... B***, if you are not Minnie B***, please hang up. We are handling a claim in our office." The claim number left was 3332836. I returned the call this morning and the claim number was given. I was asked if this was M...... B***, I responded "no, I am her daughter and I received a message for her to call this number and I would like to know what the call is in reference to? The only information I was given is that it's for a court summons. When asked what type of summons, no other information was given also stating that my mom needed to contact them and they could not disclose the information. My response was if they had my number regarding her, that was there approval to provide any information needed regarding my mom. Needless to say, the information was not released to me but I contacted my mom and she called. When she questioned why they contacted me and the nature of their call, the represented disconnected the call. My mom called back and another representative stated they were trying to collect her debt from a loan with GPI and it was chared off in 2013. She was also told to clear the account, she needed to pay $300+ so she would not have a court summoms. When asked who was GPI and where are they located, my mom was not given any information. My mom does not know who GPI is and stated she did not have a loan with them.
