I am looking for employment and was contacted for a remote data entry position for a San Diego based company. I was told to download the Telegram App. I was given access to a very limited information company employee portal, and had a video message sent on the telegram app. The rep Jessica would often message at 6 am - 7 am before business hours. They wanted me to deposit a $1750.00 check that they would send and I would print to do a mobile deposit to my bank and then would need to purchase some software to be able to do the data entry. I did call the bank in Huntsville from the check that was emailed to me from a Linda T Hunt ( Hunt from Huntsville…hmmm) and they verified funds were available at that time. I messaged Jessica to inquire why would this check be sent from a private party and not have the company name on it? And have not heard back.
