Type of a scam Employment
In the beginning of the process, I assumed the company was a start-up and sightly disorganized. I was texted for this employment via from a specific phone number. As we continued correspondence, the job details began to shift greatly -- and again, I believed maybe the people were just disorganized. But again, after the first interview they had me follow up with a second interview. During this interview the interviewer seemed to again be very disorganized and mentioned a very different job than the first person. Not only that but again they continued to be somewhat deceptive about the job's descriptions again. It went back and forth between a brand ambassador and then something completely different. After this interview I became worried and decided to research the company. Their only lead was a Linkedin profile and website; but everything, again, seemed very vague. I also looked up their address and saw there was no physical building at the address mentioned. Thats when it hit me that this could be a potential employment scam. I reached out to Beacon Development, the company who oversees all tenant issues at 800 W.Hill St. The management was kind enough to let me know that the exact suite was not being used for that company, Invincible Events Marketing. The person over the phone couldn't disclose what company was there but let me know they'd pass it along to other members of the management service desk.
