A recording came on when I answered the phone. The recording said I needed to call back this number because there was a lawsuit against me and before they contacted the local authorities I needed to call them. They also said something about being with the IRS.

I knew it was a scam but tried calling the number from my landline. When I called it didn't go through.

Never owned Volkswagen whoever we get numerous calls appearing as if they come from 218 numbers but are not actually the number being called from I have done reverse calling on the numbers and they show up then totally unrelated to what the caller identified as the reason for the call. We have tried everything you stop these phones but they continue every couple of days coming from all different locations mostly in Minnesota but other numbers as well. Today it was harassment and it was scary they insisted on talking to my husband.we were the victims of intent to file IRS taxes are not here and since the fraudulent calls have occurred at high frequencies. Any advice offer will be greatly appreciate it.

I keep getting phone calls with a recorded message that say the IRS is going to be suing me for back taxes. Looking up the phone number it is in North Dakota. Here is the phone number. They have called 3 times in 2 hours this morning from 701-590-2558. I owe no taxes. Any income taxes I have owed has been paid and this is getting bad as I am at work and they are calling continuously. I WILL not call this number back as they wanted. Has anyone else had this issue if so how do I stop it?

We have repeatedly received a recorded message on our voicemail saying they are calling from the IRS and they are filing a lawsuit against us. There has been no other attempt at contact and they never use our name or any personal information. They have left 2 separate numbers 210-338-2951 and 310-868-4034. We have not and will not respond but this is clearly a scam looking to prey on vulnerable people.

I received a phone call today telling me they were from the IRS. I asked what they want from me I don't owe any money. They said I owed them 5,295.00 from the years 2009 thru 2012. I told them they are scam artists and they were not getting a dime. They proceed to tell me that they are going to put a red flag on all my accounts. I said you can't do that cause I know this call is a scam and they hung up on me.
