This person contacted my wife saying if she didn't call and pay within 24 hours they would send local cops to the house and arrest her. I told her that was not what the IRS does, they contact you by the U.S. Postal Service. I also told her to send me the number. I got them to admit that he (just a single guy) was not the IRS and told him I would report his spoofed California number.

This is the second time with this occurrence this time the call was from Washington state claiming to be from the IRS says my they will lock me up again if these people contact me one more time I will sue for harassment and emotional distress because I called them back they answer the phone IRS the number this time was tel:360-718-6501. Everyone in the United States should be aware that they will not call you over the phone or answer the phone IRS after 2 rings. Below is the second voicemail I received from these frauds!!!!

This number just called scamming left a message like a dummy. Saying I will go to jail. I call they talking about being the IRS. I told them the irs don't call people they send letters. He said you owe back taxes I said no I don't I will report you for fraud He said okay the voicemail is below

This number will call with a recorded message saying they are the IRS trying to contact you to get information on a case they are pursuing against you but don’t mention any names, whether it be your name or any agent’s name. When you call the number back it rings like chirp, if no on answers, you will get a message saying that you have reached a number that has been disconnected. If someone does answer, you can hear all kinds of noise in the background but they answer with “Internal Revenue Service how can I help you?” I called them back after they called me 2 more times to inform them I had reported them and the man responded with "Why do you keep calling me? Do you like me?" So obviously they are not the IRS.

Recorded message said that i had an arrest warrant out against me and that my property was under surveillance and that if I did not contact them at 1-404-400-4959 they would come and get me. Just FYI the IRS never calls you!

I was called from this number stating that it was the IRS and that I had to contact them immediately about monies owed to the IRS and that if I did not call they would take legal action. I knew this was a scam (as the IRS only contacts persons by mail). The call was a foreigner and the call was recorded so I could not tell them I knew it was a scam. I subsequently blocked the caller on my phone. I am sure they would have asked for payment of some sort had I called them back but I did not.

Such a letter! I told him I needed a copy of the letter he was referring! He said could't! I told him i needed the letter since he couldn't speak good English! Then he hung up .
