They left an automated phone call stating that I had 24 hours to get back to them regarding 4 allegations against me. They left the phone number of 855-751-5201, which is the same number they called from. When I called the number, the first indication this was fraud was the man was Asian-Indian & I could hardly understand what he was saying. But he proceeded to state that I had 4 allegations of false/mistaken reporting on my taxes from the years 2013-2017. His name was Loren Hart (weird name for an Asian-Indian dude) with badge number IRM986201. Then he stated my case number was CT9089F11. Then he asked if I was willing to settle this problem immediately, to which I stated I would rather speak to someone at my local IRS office. Then he automatically started to say that I would be taken under arrest by the local police in the next 45 minutes, that I would have to hire a criminal defense attorney, I would be flown to Washington DC ( I laughed hard here ) where I would be responsible for legal fees, the original taxes, plus accumulation of interest. I told them 'no thanks' & hung up.

They contacted saying I must owe IRS $ 9000. And have to pay in 24hrs. Or else Local PD will arrest me

The following message is transcribed word for word from a message left on our phone; no name or case number was ever mentioned: Time sensitive. We are calling you from Investigation team of IRS. We have just received a notification regarding your tax filings from the headquarters which will get expired in next 24 working hours. And once it get expired after that you will be taken under custody by local cops as there are four serious allegations pressed on your name at this moment. We would request you to get back to us so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you.. The number to reach us is 847-553-4201. I repeat 847-553-4201. Thank you.

Received a call on 27 Mar 17, at 10:57 a.m. The voice sounded machine-generated (not human). Stated that we have 24 hours or will be taken into custody. Told to call back to discuss the debt before legal action was taken. The caller ID on our phone was Colorado Springs, CO phone number 719-309-2124

i received a call from phone number 202-864-1796, they left a message it was a recording stating to call them before they take legal action, no reference number or nothing. I called them, when the rep answered the phone they said IRS investigation team. now I have not even filed my taxes yet and never received a call like this before so I was wondering if this is real. I hung up the phone and did not speak to them it all just seams very suspicious to me.
