Received a phone call from this number. A foreign person answered the phone stating they are from the IRS and to give him the claim number or police would arrest me. When I countered that he was scam, he got very aggressive and started to argue about the Desert Storm operation.

I received a voice message from this number. It was a robotic voice saying that there were ‘four charges pressed against your name’ and that I need to call the same number back otherwise they will take legal action against me. I knew immediately that this was a scam and just want to make sure someone else doesn’t fall for it.

Left a voice message stating the IRS. Has file a lawsuit against me for Tax invasion. I called them back to informed them I was reporting this scam.

I received a call from this number. An automated system saying mine and my family's name have been audited And are being reported for tax fraud because we never turned in what we were supposed to. This being said I've never received anything in the mail or a call from an actual person and I've lived in the same place for over a year.

Automated call warning this is call from irs "you owe $$ call this number and pay, a warrant has been issued for your arrest"

We received a voicemail from someone saying that they were the Internal Revenue Service and that a lawsuit had been filed in my name and that I needed to call (315) 203-3660. I called the number and there was a lot of background noise of people talking to other callers...it sounded like a "boiler room". The woman said that she was an Internal Revenue Service enforcement officer. I asked her why they called me. She kept asking me more questions, trying to get my name and other information. I asked her, "So, you are an Internal Revenue Officer, correct?". She replied, "yes". I then asked to speak to her supervisor and she hung up on me.

- Springfield, OH, USA

I got a robo call today and the message was to call 360-562-9044. When I called back it was so noisy I couldn't hear him. He said I was guilty of tax evasion, $5700.00 from 2013 through 2017. He said he was going to freeze all my assets. He had an Indian accent.

A local BBB inquirer reported to BBB by phone that she received a threatening phone call that initially seemed like it was from the IRS. The caller referred to himself as Officer David Walker and had a foreign sounding accent. The caller indicated she owed a significant amount of money to the IRS and that there was a court case she should have received info about. He even provided a case number, #CF8511 and expressed she'd be arrested if not resolved immediately. The caller reported she had been on disability since 2008 and there was no way she owed any money. She was startled, but did not provide any personal info.

- Dayton, OH, USA

3 calls in one day saying they have a warrant for tax evasion for the yrs '13-'17. Consumer is on SSDI and does not pay income tax. He called one of the numbers back. When he told the scammer this information the scammer swore at him and hung up.

Received a phone call from 970-230-5762 stating they were the IRS. If I didn't pay $1499 I would be put in jail and they would take my house and bank accounts.

- Atlanta, GA, USA

Received automated call on 3/6/18@11:19am, 3/13/18@1:27pm stating that I had a IRS tax debt and that I should return call to listed numbers and if not a warrant will placed out for my arrest. Spoke with a female Indian speaking accent and was transferred to a male Indian speaking accent whom I was asking for verification of this nonsense. The male guy started yelling and telling me the cops would be coming to my address which I'm still trying to understand how and where they recieved my personal info from. I disconnected the call.

I received a Voicemail stating to call back or face legal actions. You have 4 serious allegations and legal actions will be taken against you and I would have to pay the consequences. The call back number given was 585-582-5978. I called back and spoke with a man named James Robertson and he stated he was doing an audit with IRS for years 2013 to 2017 taxes. He said there was some mistakes made and I owed the IRS $3475.00. I told him to send paperwork to me for the audit since he had my information. He just kept repeating how much money I owed. Then I said I was going to call the local Sidney police to verify this information. Then he said ok then Ill send this information to the courts to get a bench warrant out for my arrest. I told him I was going to call the local Sidney police again and he hung up on me. Then I got 3 more voicemail calls pertaining to the same information in voicemails prior; and their was also another phone number/voicemail from a woman besides the first one above; this number is: 315-702-6963.
