I want to note that after I emailed them to cancel this transaction they responded immediately saying I would receive my refund back in 7-10 business days. I have also disputed this with my bank. I’m not sure how they are justifying the inflation of cost from $0 up to $275 and also not rendering the information needed within the time the website states.

Misleading & possibly fraudulent.
I went on this website.
Don’t use this company!!!!
I did call the company to file a complaint and request a refund. That was unsuccessful! The representative might of been the most ignorant person and did not let me get a word in

I clicked it after seeing the letters “irs” at the beginning of the url and did not notice I was on a third-party the site. The color scheme is very similar to the irs.gov website. I complete the application still not noticing that I was not on the actual IRS site, and paid $249 for my application still unaware that EINs were free. I received a generic confirmation email stating my order from this third party site and that was when I realized I was not on the government website that whole time.
I googled the company’s name and found these reviews: https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/irs-ein-application.com of people like me, fooled by this company and cheated out of money they did not need to spend. Then, in embarrassing disbelief, I found the official government website where a public announcement sat at the top of the page warning people to beware of companies that charge since EINs applications were a free service. I called my bank immediately and attempted to dispute the charge; however, it was pending and a dispute was not in their policy because the charge was authorized by me regardless it being a scam.
I completed the application on irs.gov in less than 10 minutes and received an EIN immediately; whereas, the scammer site charged $249 for a EIN that took 1-2 to process (as stated on their website). The application was identical including first and last name, SSN, address, and business information. I called them I told them I would like to cancel.
The lady on the other side of the phone said, “I will cancel your order and request a full refund. They may not give it to you since they already attempted to send your application over to the IRS but it was rejected. They might issue a partial refund and keep the rest as a processing fee of $75.” I thought, what process? It took me less than 10 minutes for free. So she cancelled my order and I received another generic email confirmation. My cancellation and refund request is “under review” and the bank transaction is still pending. The emails were not consistent and one is attached to this claim. One says I have been issued a refund, another one sent slightly after says the request is being reviewed.
