Common attempt to gain trust by using the death of a loved one as the reason for selling. The price is less than half the actual value to get your attention. This particular scam tries to get the purchaser to load ebay cards and send the card information directly thru the email. The ebay webpage link in the email takes you to a fake ebay page. Pretty detailed with an ebay item number, but the item isn't an ebay listing and ebay will never ship and insure an item they are not selling. This scammer tries to get you to believe the purchase is secure because it is getting processed by ebay. Of course it is not, they are just trying to misdirect your attention. I have been emailing and receiving texts, I have even been called a few times asking if I am getting the cash together to purchase the ebay cards and pass them the card numbers and photos. I string them along so they can't spend their time scamming someone else.

The ebay address looks like a motel or apartment complex. The woman on the phone call could barely speak english.

Simple to overcome this; just check ebay (or whatever site) directly to cross check the information.
