I unfortunately was scammed by Isaiah Vidales Landscaping as well. Isaiah is a true scam artist in every sense of the word. Frankly, I feel really bad for him and his brothers. First, allow me to explain a few things. I was looking to get a bid for clearing some trees, chipping, and spreading the mulch under the remaining trees. I had Isaiah and two others out to give me bids. Isaiah was actually a little higher ($500) than the other crews but I chose to go with him because he talked the talk and truly made me feel like he understood my vision. He talked about making sure it was safe for my son and family. He talked up his family and pulled at my heart strings. I was a chump. He hooked me. I agreed to move forward with him for $5K. He sent me a contract that outlined all the details that we discussed. Straight forward right? We both signed and the project started. Isaiah showed up with his brothers 2 days later and started cutting trees. Over the next two days they showed up around 11 am and worked until 4 pm. They left all the chainsaws and other materials in my backyard for the next 3 days (not very safe). Then they resumed the work again a few days later. Isaiah dropped his brothers off and left them from about 12 pm to 9 pm but they stopped working at 5:30 pm and sat in my driveway until he picked them up. They were directionless. I had conversations with Isaiah about my concerns. The work was mediocre at best. They continued to leave trash and supplies over the next three weeks and show up 1-2 days a week. For a job that was quoted to take 3 days, we were now three weeks in. I originally paid Isaiah $2K to start, but by week three I had paid him $5,500. There continued to be one excuse after another for him not showing up and for the job not getting done. Let me remind you that I never added to the original contract. With Isaiah paid in full and him continuing to tell me that he would "Take care of me Boss," I told him he was not going to get anymore money from me and that he needed to finish the contracted work that week. He agreed. Two days later, he was a no show. I texted with him and he said he would be there Saturday. He was a no show and would no longer respond to text or phone call. I have since been able to get him removed from Thumbtack (the app I hired him through) and have had to seek other contractors to help me cleanup the mess he created. Bids are ranging from $2K-$2.5K. Not surprising seeing as he did half the work. Isaiah is evil. He is the lowest of the low. As soon as he was aware that he could not get anymore money out of my pocket, he ghosted me. He is a smooth talker. But, my prayer is that nobody else get's screwed by him. Isaiah Vidales out of San Antonio/San Marcos/Driftwood area is not to be trusted. He is a thief. Don't let him convince you otherwise. I made sure to give his brothers food and drinks. I was kind. I was patient. But, now I will be making sure he can't hurt anyone else. He should be in prison.

We hired Isaiah after several no shows and outrageous estimates from other contractors, to give us a price for a zero scape for our front yard with steps, walk path, and a walk path on the side of our home with a hog fence. Total was $8,899 and an extra $800 to lay down cement. This all started in 12/17/20. Isaiah never came by when he said he would to do some work. Times he did come by it was only him and he didn't do much. He didn't focus on one part of the job at a time. He kept jumping around. Digging here, put up a post for the fence there, move things around. He came to us several times asking for more money to get materials or to pay his workers. We had already given him the down payment of $5,500. He just told us to subtract it from the total owed. We did and saw our balance getting smaller so we thought this was a good thing. From then till March 2021 rolls around our front yard looked like the battle trenches of WW1 France. It was off and on calling and trying to get a hold of him to do something ever since this project started. During this time he would come back saying money was needed to get more materials or pay the fence guy to cut wire and piping etc. but we saw none of this. Finally in mid March I got rid of him and we were $11K out of pocket. He was recommended out from Home Advisor. We called to let them know about Isaiah Vidales and what had happened. They informed us that Home Advisor took him off their site and recommendations early march and we weren't the only people he did this to. There were several other complaints with almost the same situations.
