The senior recruiter was Nathan Mendis ([email protected]). They said they wanted to submit me to a job at HP but one requirement was to have a Six Sigma Green Belt certification. When I explained that I didn't have that, he said it could be in process and to go to one of two possible online training sites for training and the exam.

He suggested that most people go with option 1 because it was more cost effective. He told me repeatedly that I should do this quickly as it was the one thing that had to be included to set up a hiring manager screen. Since I wanted an online option, I went there. An agent on a chat immediately engaged with me while I was trying to evaluate the option. He convinced me to purchase a 3-course subscription due to a current sale. I've considered Six Sigma certification anyway so I was open to the possibility of this certification. The recruiter called me three more times to ask if I had registered for class yet. So, I made the purchase but I was suspicious.
Meanwhile, I checked LinkedIn and could not find a profile for the recruiter. I checked for the company but because of the generic name, I could not find it. I started to check for the training company, UpgradeSkill (Six Sigma Green Belt – Home) but also could not find it on LinkedIn. I asked the recruiter for their company site and was directed to It Staffing Company Solutions – It Staffing Company Solutions.
When I got the welcome mail, it directed me to a log at a different site: Log in for VMEdu courses.I logged onto that site. I see the courses I purchased in my dashboard and I tried to cancel my subscription per their instructions however my subscriptions were not listed under my profile. I opened an issue and the response was that I needed to contact the partner company through which I purchased the subscription (upgradeskill).
I went to the upgradeskill site and looked for a way to cancel or ask for a refund but no such option was presented. I engaged the chat agent but received no response. I searched the site for "cancel purchase" and received no results. I used their "contact us" form and got a server error. So, I sent email to "[email protected]". No response.
