I needed to renew TSA precheck and unfortunately clicked on a website that was impersonating the official TSA precheck registration services. My private information was collected by the website and an appointment was made for me in the TSA precheck system. Somehow I.V.C. International Visa Center is circumventing the official TSA precheck reservation system. I was charged $140.00 ahead of my appointment. This is not the correct TSA precheck amount (should have been $85.00) and I should not have been charged ahead of my appointment. Upon arriving at my appointment, the TSA precheck agent indicated I had been scammed and several other people have been coming into appointments with the same issue and was directed to contacted my credit card issuer. I was able to complete the TSA precheck process, but was charged $85.00 on top of the $140.00 I was charged by the scammer. I reported this fraudulent charge to Chase, my credit card issuer. The charge is currently on hold while the dispute process continues.
